is a small workshop where tradition, craft and science meet.
Our comprehensive understanding of history, design, woodworking
and finishing expertise is crucial to accessing your individual
requirements and determining the best treatment for your furniture.
We pride ourselves on our ability to work closely with our
customers to ensure your individual needs are met with full
satisfaction.
All work is carried out under the direct
supervision of the proprietor, Greg Peters, who has an extensive
knowledge and experience with Australian, English and Continental
furniture. In 2000 Greg was awarded the prestigious Winston
Churchill Fellowship to study and work with world leading
conservators in institutions of excellence; The Victoria and
Albert Museum, The Royal Collection (London), Musee des arts
decoratifs (Paris) and The RIJKS Museum (Amsterdam) to mention
but a few.
Patinations
Have been appointed The authorised furniture conservators
to the National Trust Australia (ACT).
Are the only approved service provider for the Australian
Antique Dealers Association practicing in the Canberra region.
Is member of The Australian Institute of Conservators of Cultural
Material and abide by their professionally recognised code

Our
clientele include: The National Trust, Historic Places ACT,
Historic Houses Trust NSW, Government House Yarralumla, Old
Parliament House, Embassies and Consulates plus many Private
Collectors and Reputable Antique Dealers.
Tuition: Gregs reputation as a leading
conservator and master craftsman have placed him in good steed
to lecture and coach people in the many facets of furniture
restoration and conservation. He is a guest lecturer at the
Australian School of Fine Furniture (Launceston). Other short
courses are run at the Historic Lanyon Homestead, where you
can learn how to care for your antique furniture. A calendar
